Dublin Discovery Trip 2017
Dublin HEC Entrepreneurship trip
Last year, we went to Berlin to discover its startup ecosystem. We learned so much during the trip and met such great people and startups, that we wanted to discover a new startup ecosystem this year. Having read in the startup news that Dublin was the new place to be or next Berlin, we had to see from ourselves !
The Irish capital is first and foremost known as a tech hub for big tech companies, and we had the chance to visit Airbnb‘s HQ. They were great hosts as expected, with amazing offices !
We also learned more about how Dublin attracts so many startups and tech companies (and it is not only pubs or beautiful landscapes nearby) at the Guinness Enterprise Center, a huge startup hub, where we met many interesting startups.
Dublin is also famous for fintech, and we visited two: Murex, which develops financial services softwares and Rubicoin, which helps you do stock market investing.
We also visited Artomatix, which develops a futuristic 3D software, with machine learning and artificial intelligence involved.
Everyone told us about the great talents in the city as one of the reasons the city is a tech hub, and we were indeed also very impressed by meeting our equivalent at Trinity College, the Trinity Entrepreneurial Society.
Thank you so much to our partners, from which we learned so much and who inspired us for our own entrepreneurial journey. We already feel like coming back to meet you again !
Special thanks to our partners :
