At Hubraum, we discovered a new type of incubator. As it has been set up by a major actor in telecommunications, it has some specificities compared with more classical incubators. Of course, its goal is to help early stage startups, which they think will generate a huge return on investment, to develop. But, as opposed to classical incubators, Hubraum’s final goal is actually to promote innovation in a field related to telecommunications.
For example, we had the chance to meet the CEO of Teraki, a startup trying to reduce the amount of data that is needed to make a message understandable when it is send over the Internet. This startup could help to improve the efficiency of the networks, wherever they are and regardless of the current installations. Just imagine the impact it could have on the entire telecommunication’s industry !
